Abstract

Research on the comparison of the effectiveness of the adsorption power of rice husk and the hazelnut shell of the ferrous metal (Fe) in the dig well water has been done. The objectives of this study were to determine the water content and carbon ash content, as well as the effectiveness of carbon adsorption power from rice husk and hazelnut shells to Fe content in dug wells water. Carbon activation is done physically. The results showed that moisture content and activated carbon content of hazelnut shells were lower than water content and ash content of active carbon of rice husk, while the adsorption power shown by activated carbon of hazelnut shell was more effective compared to the adsorption power activated carbon of rice husk.
