MODEL VEHICLE ROUTING PROBLEM TIME WINDOWS IN THE PROCESS OF APPLYING FOR DISTRIBUTION OF DRIVERS OCCASIONALLY
The distribution of goods and services is one of the important things in a production activity, where all the company expects to be able to minimize the cost of distribution. There are several obstacles often encountered in the distribution of items such as determining the route to minimize the total cost incurred. To overcome the problems in the distribution process, the company should be able to find a good strategy either by using the services of an occasional driver. In determining the route, each company has different constraints, such as the number of used vehicles, vehicle capacity and consumer demand, the distance between the consumer, and there are also cases where consumers want to be served in accordance with time its windows. The problem of determining the optimal route can be completed with a model in which optimization Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). This paper aims to formulate the problem of distribution on the model Vehicle Routing Problem Time Windows with the occasional driver in determining the number of vehicles and the optimal route where every consumer has a limited time to use the services of an occasional driver. Results VRP time windows with driver occasionally show that this model can be used to minimize the cost of distribution.
