EFFECTIVENESS LARVICIDES EXTRACT LEAF BANDOTAN (AGERATUMCONYZOIDES L) TO LARVA MOSQUITO AEDES AEGYPTI AND ANOPHELES

Abstract

This research aims to bandotan leaf extract concentration and the contact time required to kill the larvae of aedes aegypti and anopheles sp. In this study, use was designed using a randomized block design (RAK) with 6 treatments were repeated every 3 times, in order to obtain 18 experimental units. Variations volume bandotan extract used is 0 mL as control, 0.1 mL, 0.2 mL, 0.4 mL, 0.8 mL and 1.6 mL with observations conducted every 5 minutes to 100 minutes. the results showed that the use of leaf extracts bandotan give the highest percent mortality in larvae of aedes aegypti and Anopheles sp amounted to 86.66% at minute 100 with a volume of 1.6 mL bandotan extract. F test results count gives significantly different values that show the influence of mosquito larvae mortality with bandotan leaf extract. The test resultsLC50 prove that thebandotan 1.6 mL extract is capable of causing the death of larvae of mosquitoes Aedes aegyptitested by 55.33% and Anopheles amounted to 56.84%sp
